After the Slaughter

Xeno smiled, laughing. "Thank you, if you hadn't obeyed me, I would have executed you with my brand-new Hadron cannon..." He placed the gun in his back pocket again, turning around. "To think my brother would order such a thing... I can't beleave it myself..." He laughed, seeming to compleatly forget about the two girls.

Niki saw that Xeno had taken his mind off of her and Lethe. She looked at her watch and saw that it had been 30 minutes since she had left the terrorist base. And she ordered her subordinates to pilot Neko Akuma to the ghetto if she didn't come back after 30 minutes. She just smiled and waited planning out how she could escape.

Lethe thinks too herself 'how could you forget your captives??'. She then starts to move back slowly trying not to make a sound yet steps on another twig. Thinks to herself'where the hell does these twigs keep coming from??'.

Xeno hears the twig and swings around, gun in hand. "Did you think I wasn't serious?!" He yelled, shooting both of Lethe's legs within four two seconds." He walked over to her and bent over, laughing. "Do you have a death wish? Really?" He laughed and pointed the gun at Lethe's head. "Any last words?"

Lethe looks at her wounds then at the gun saying nothing.

Xeno frowned. "I'm not kidding. I WILL shoot!" It was easy to tell he was hesetent about killing a Britannian. "Please... don't make me do this... I'll stop if you just ask me to... I'll take you alive and let your freind live... just say the word..."

Lethe turned her head and said under her breath "ok then...just don't kill Niki..".

Xeno smiled. "Very well then... but... I-" He was cut off as a patrol group stubled upon them.

"Prince Xeno? What are you doing here?" The leader asked, steping forward.

"Nothing, leave, now." Xeno said, slightly annoyed they were probably going ot take the credit.

"Sir, is that the girl we're looking for? Exelent! You can hand her over to us now..." He steped forward, holding a gun out.

Xeno steped backwards. "What is this? Treason?!"

The leader laughed and pointed the gun at Xeno. "This girl killed you and we were the heros that took her captive and avenged you... that's what the news will say..." He laughed.

Xeno stuttered as all the solders pointed their guns at him. "Damnit... I'm stuck here..."

Lethe watches in dismay."why do that we're going to the same place aren't we?" she said to the soldiers. "Besides they will see whu really killed him with the angle of the bullets", she stopped talking and turned the next way.

Xeno looked down at the girl and sighed. "Please forgive my earlyer accusations, I was caught up with the moment." He sighed and looked up.

The leader simply scoffed. "I guess you wanna die first, huh, kiddie?" He laughed and shot Lethe right through the chest.

Xeno was horrified as the blood splatered onto his chest, bending over, he looked at her. "Please forgive me for getting you into this... your death is my fault..." Tears ran down his face as he looked at what he had done.

The shooter laughed. "Sorry, my lord... but you're next..." He laughed and aimed the gun.

OoC: Really sorry, I had to do it, no way I could delay it any longer.

Niki saw that Lethe tried to escape and sighed. She jumped a bit whn Xeno shot Lethe in the legs and pointed the gun at Lethe's forehead. Although, now Xeno was only about two feet away from Niki. Niki was just about to draw her gun and shoot Xeno when a group of Britannian soldiers appeared seemingly out of nowhere.
"Dammit! This messes up everything...I thought I could kill the prince here..." Niki thought.
Niki was completely suprised when the soldiers threatened Xeno, and even more suprised when they shot Lethe though the chest.
"What?! You damn Britannians!" Niki screamed.
Niki felt her claws extending and eyes changing again, she had lost control of herself. She glared at the soldiers wih bloodthirsty cat-like eyes and hissed getting into a position where she i ready to leap and attack the soldiers.

Jane ran as fast as she could. "Damn it..." She said to herself. She was wearing her battle suit and ran down. She saw the prince covered in blood and...Some girl. She seemed to be jumping at some soldiers. Jane took out her gun and cocked it making a clicking sound. Jane yelled, "Stop! I Have You In My Visual range!" Her sniper rifle was aimed right at her. "Move if you dare..I have a damn good shot whether your fast or not!" She said loud enough for the girl to hear her...

Niki looked back at where the voice came from. She landed seeing another soldier in an armored suit with a gun aimed at her. She was about to draw her own gun when she noticed that the soldier's voice was strangely familiar. It took her some time to figure it out but she finally recalled it being Jane's voice.
"Jane? Is that you in there?" Niki asked.

Jane froze. "Oh God..." She whispered to herself. Niki had cat ears which meant you should pick up the slightest trace of a changed voice or anything for faking. There was no way out. "Get Down..." She said loudly enough her gun still aimed at Niki's body. "It might be Jane but you might want to leave or you may never find out." She pressed a button on her arm. Her knightmare was activated and on...Now she just needed Niki down and gone...

Lethe is on the ground , in a pool of blood caused by a bullet wound in her chest. Though the wound might be fatal to a normal person Lethe is immortal so she cannot die from it. She crawls on the ground to Xeno and stretches out her hand to him. "Do you want a geass?", she asks. Just shake my hand and you would be glad to have it she says stillholding out her hand.

Niki was about to kneel down again. She was shocked to see Jane threatening her. Jane was Niki's best friend bu now, Niki started to doubt that thought.
"Jane...I never thought you'd be in the army..." Niki murmured.
Niki suddenly noticed Lethe moving.
"How could she still be alive? I was sure tat she was shot in a fatal spot...who and what is she?!" Niki thought.
Niki instantly spun around and ran over to Lethe, not sure if she should be scared or overjoyed.
"Lethe...how are you still alive?" Niki asked, "I-I thought that you were killed..."

Lethe stretching out her hand hears Niki yet still stretches out her hand and when the hands were about to reach, an airel bomb comes out of nowhere and hits infront of Niki. Blasting her into eair and crashing between Lethe and Xeno. Instead of Xeno having the geass, Niki had it yet, since Xeno's transition was not completed, he only had one half of the geass. Lethe looks up at Niki and grins abit before trying to get up.

Niki was suddenly sent fyling and pulled into a short moment when she couldn't do anything. When she regained control of herself, Niki's eyes felt as if the have just seen exposed to a bright light for a long time. Her head also hurt, it felt as if it was slammed with a hard blunt object like a mace or hammer of some sort. Niki tried to oe but felt weak, she looked at her body and saw that her right arm, both of her legs, and stomach was bleeding due to the explosion of the bomb. Ignoring the pain in her body, Niki dragged herself next to Lethe when she began to feel a bit lightheaded.
"Lethe...are you alright?" Niki asked.

Xeno let out a yell and colapsed to his knees, his hand over his left eye. When he got back up, memorys of something strange, and unclear. His arm was limb and his arm was bleeding due to the explotion. He felt something in his left eye, unexplainably strange... He focused on it, and suddenly, everyone around him froze. Niki, Lethe, Jane, the solders. He was scared for a moment before he smiled, taking advantage of this strange phonominon. He walked over to the solders, and within seconds, had blown holes in the sides of their heads. Blood gushed out, but the men didn't move. Six seconds after it began, suddenly, they began moving again. The solders fell to the ground, dead on the spot. "Wha- What is this..." He trembled and almost fell backwards, but he coulden't show weakness. "Jane, I thank you for coming, however, the situation is under control." He then stared right at her. "And my Knight, has been chosin."

When she regained control over herself, Niki set Lethe against the wall of a building which was still intact and limped back to Xeno ignoring the pain in her bloody wounds and eyes. Her eyes felt dry and as if there were needles stabbing into it. Then Niki suddenly heard a voice, Xeno's voice. But Xeno's mouth wasn't moving yet she heard his voice continuosly running through her head, never stopping. She didn't know what happened but she did hear a bit of information from Xeno, information that Xeno would never reveal to anyone in public. Niki grinned and understood a bit of what happened in the past five minutes.
"So wht I've been hearing are Xeno's thoughts..." Niki thought, "And it looks like that Jane's his new Knight, this will prove to be troublesome if I try to attack him again...oh well, I can't choose my enemies...I'll just have to improvise the next time I see those two..."
Niki continued to listen to the various thoughts running through Xeno's head, information on the various Knightmares in the Britannian Army, what happened to the corpses near Xeno, and a few other things.
"So Lethe was the one to give Xeno and me this power...I never suspected her but maybe I should have with her odd behavior..." Niki murmured to herself in a voice so low that no one else could hear it, "But more importantly, I've found who's behind the destruction and slaughter of the ghetto...Clovis, a fitting name for a prince...and reading Xeno's thoughts just told me where this Clovis is...now all I need to do is break in, and assassinate him..."
Then in an instant, Niki began to feel weak. Her vision and thoughts became blurry and she suspected hat it was due to blood loss. Her vision and thoughts continued to blur until they went completely blank.

Xeno looked over at Niki, who appeared to be talking ot herself, before she just colapsed. (I assume). "What it this? Her eyes... it can't be..." He looked over at Lethe on the ground. "So... is this why father wanted you captured?" He laughed and walked over to Niki, kneeling down. "Noone can know that I have two Identitys, I'll have to treat her as a stranger." He shook Niki slightly before taking out bandages and dressing her wounds. "Are you ok, Miss?" He yelled, trying to wake her. "Wait... could the strange thing that happened to me be... Geass? I thought It was just a myth!"

Niki opened her eyes slowly and wearily. Th red bird-like glow in her two eyes had disappeared and her eyes felt fine now. But she couldn't say that same for her flesh wounds. Even though it stopped bleeding, Niki's injured body parts were still in pain. The first thing she saw was Xeno, the prince. She forced herself to a sitting position then to stand up and she loked around trying to remember where she was and hat happened. A few minutes later, Nikis memory returned to her, she was in the now ruined Shinjuku Ghetto with Xeno, Lethe, Jane, and a lot of dead corpses. She growled when she recalled what she learned about Clovis.
"Um your highness...would you please take me to somewhere safe?" Niki asked, "I do ot wish to stay here any longer...but take Lethe with you...please..."

Xeno smiled and nodded, walking over to Lethe. "Very well then." He picked up Lethe in his arms and walked toward Benevolance. "I'm sorry you had to get caught up in all of this... but... tell me, how is your freind still breathing? That was a faital blow!" He noticed Jane and smiled. "We are to give these girls a safe escort back to the Tokyo settlement, they were in the wrong place at the wrong time." He slowly walked towards his knightmare, when he looked back at Jane. "Did I mention, you are my new knight? Haha... please don't bow or anything, just take this... cat-girl and her freind to the Tokyo settlement, in your knightmare.' He placed Lethe on the ground and bowed. "I have to set up for the cerimony, so meet me back at the HQ." He smiled and got into Benevolance, darting away.

Niki smiled weakly and nodded, her tail came out unharmed and it was swaying slowly and weakly. She would have to plan out Prince Clovis' assassination later. It would be good to infiltrate Clovis' throne room right before the ceremony starts, so that there would be little guards in the room, leaving Clovis almost alone.
"Thank you your highness..." Niki said before Xeno had left, "And don't worry...Lethe is still breathing...you remind me of a friend of mine...your eyes, your voice...the only thing that seems different is your hair...but I must be just paranoid..."

Jane removed her helmet her black hair falling to past her shoulders. She had no idea what was happening and her knightmare got here. There were the soldiers whose had holes through there head within a millisecond...It was as if time stopped...But Jane was a tad to happy for herself. Shes worked for this goal since shes joined the army...She looked an Niki and nodded without expression. "Get in." She said bluntly and the ladder came down. She climbed into Cupids Arrow and waited for Niki and that girl to get in. "Now Niki knows...Great." She said to herself. She felt as if something was tugging on her mind. She ignored and said impatiently, "Come on Niki we dont have all day!"
